May / June 2016 Update

Dear all,

‘Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly more than we could ever ask or imagine’ (Ephesians 3:20)

We have just started a new preaching series at Hope Church – Keys to Faith. Faith is like a muscle that we need to keep on using and putting into practice. I want to encourage you to take some risks in the next few weeks and step out in faith.

God loves to overcome the odds however impossible things may seem. Let’s look at life through eyes of faith and not fear and be excited by stories of the incredible things that God does amongst us.

On Sunday 15th May we have the joy of a Baptism service. It is always wonderful to hear testimonies of salvation and celebrate together as a Church. If you would like to be baptised do speak to Mark about getting baptised.

Outreach in Stratford. Once a month on a Saturday morning we have been going out as a Church to bless the people of Stratford. So far we have given out 200 packed lunches, helium balloons and chocolates to demonstrate the love of God and invite people to Church.

At the beginning of 2016 the Hope Church leadership team met to pray and hear God for the year ahead. There were 4 key words that came through very clearly for 2016 – Celebrate what God has done. Have Confidence in God’s power and the gospel. Continue to grow in Community and love for one another. Be full of Faith for God to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine!

Saturday 11th June – Love Stratford Family Fun day. This is a day that we are putting on with the help of the other Churches in Stratford to bless the people of Stratford with a great day of free fun and entertainment in St.John’s Churchyard. It will be great to have many people from Hope Church involved and helping to serve so look out for more details.

God continues to draw many visitors along to Hope Church each Sunday. Together let us all be on the look out for ways to bless people and welcome people who are new to the Church. Hope Church has always been known as a welcoming Church and we want this to always be the case as we continue to grow.

I thank God for each of you – the way you serve and bring so much to the Church.

You are all wonderful gifts from God.

Love and prayers,

Mark
