Hello Tots,

You’ve made it to your special page where you can watch ‘William’ and Jen, Ursula, Lucy & Fiona.

Enjoy the video and remember Jesus Loves you.

Tots in the Week

Hope Tots in the Week will be run by members of Hope Church Newham who have been fully DBS checked. Your friendly volunteers will welcome you on arrival and direct you to our buggy park and help you get settled. There are accessible toilets including baby change within our venue.

The main bulk of this session will focus on free play for the babies/toddlers, with some simple craft activities to explore too. Towards the end of the session, we will come together for an engaging story and singing time, focusing on stories from the Bible.

Throughout the session, there will be simple refreshments available for parents – tea, coffee and biscuits. This is free however we would greatly appreciate a £1 donation if you can. This will also help the upkeep of the toys and craft materials.

We are so excited to meet you!

About Hope Tots

Hope Tots takes place during the second half of the Sunday morning service. There will be an announcement after the notices letting you know it is time to take your little ones to Hope Tots.

We provide a safe environment for children between 0 and 4 years old to learn about Jesus and have fun together. We start each session with a Bible story using puppets and props to engage the little ones. We then encourage them to respond to what they have heard with a song, a prayer, or a dance. After that, we’ll often do crafts, or some other activity linked to the story and there is plenty of time for free play.

We have a WhatsApp group for parents which you are welcome to join. We use this to share information about what we are doing in Hope Tots.

All Hope Tots Workers have an enhanced DBS and receive regular training in safeguarding.

We have a sign-in sheet, and we ask you to complete that when you bring your child to the Tots room. We’ll also ask you to complete a registration form providing key information about your child including details of any allergies and if you consent to our taking photos and/or touching your child.

We ask you to stay with your little one(s) until they can sit up on their own. After that, we encourage you to leave them with us.

For safeguarding reasons, you as a parent or guardian remain responsible for changing nappies and/or taking little ones to the toilet until they can go to the toilet without help. One of the Hope Tots workers will come and fetch you when your child needs to be changed or go to the toilet.

If your child is upset or upsetting other children, one of the Hope Tots workers will come and fetch you.

Please come and collect your little one when the Service ends.
